OUR LADY OF LOURDES STAINED CLASS

LOCATION: West transept, lower panel.

THEME: This panel shows three symbols representative of the saints in the corresponding upper panel. See below for details.

INSCRIPTION: Donated by the family of J.B. Towner.

 

lower left panel: Corresponding to St. Jospeh above, you see the lillies, symbolic of his staff and the carpenter's square.

 

lower center panel: Corresponding to St. Mary above, is the Immaculate Heart of Mary, pierced by the sword as promsed by Simeon. The devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary originated at Fatima.

 

lower right panel: Corressonding to St. John the Baptist above, is the Lamb of God, Jesus, grouped with His herald behind Him. The banner represents John, the herald.
