STEWARDSHIP

 

Each November since 1987, Our Lady of Lourdes conducts its annual Stewardship renewal. We should reflect on these aspects of stewardship:

  • Stewardship as a way of life is a life-long process of conversion - journey of faith.

  • Stewardship is a positive way of life.

  • Stewardship is very natural to the way God created us - to live in communion with Him and one another.

  • Stewardship moves us from a sense of obligation to a sense of sharing. "I give not to a need, but out of a need to give."

  • Stewardship mentality enables us to be gracious and grateful recipients of the love, affirmation, and material support of others.

  • Stewardship moves us to make a commitment and stresses a sense of accountability.

  • Stewardship means "not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice."
